D & C Catering were proud to deliver the full design and construction package for The Old Commodore Hotel — a landmark North Sydney venue recently brought back to life through a major renovation led by Paul Kelly Design. Our team provided complete kitchen and bar design, including:

  • Level 1 Bar, Ground Bar, and Main Kitchen fitout

  • Full beer system installation and keg room upgrade

  • Custom stainless-steel manufacture and installation throughout service and prep zones

  • Design & Concept proposal featuring a VR walkthrough experience before construction commenced

  • Full design documentation and coordination with architect and builder teams

  • New cool rooms and freezer systems designed, supplied, and installed

  • Supply of all commercial kitchen and bar equipment from leading brands including Moffat, Comcater, Skope, and Niccolai

The project also featured a bespoke Italian wood-fire/gas pizza oven, custom-built, and imported directly from Italy to suit the venue’s new kitchen operations.

This was an especially meaningful build for D & C Catering, as we also hold a stake in the venue itself — making it a project close to our hearts. Working alongside Paul Kelly Design, whose vision and detailing were exceptional, we’re proud to have helped restore this historic hotel and showcase what The Old Commodore truly has to offer: craftsmanship, character, and timeless hospitality.

Scope by D & C Catering: Design & Construct – Kitchen, Bars & Keg Room

The Commodore Hotel | North Sydney, NSW

D & C Catering were engaged to deliver the full design and construction package for Newgreens, the complete transformation of the former Chatswood Golf Club into a premium, multi-level dining and entertainment venue. Across three levels, the project included:

  • Three commercial kitchens designed for large-scale food service and function catering

  • Three custom-built commercial bars, each tailored to its own service requirements

  • Four coolrooms and freezer rooms positioned throughout levels for operational efficiency

  • Full beer system design and installation

  • A custom-built commercial BBQ area designed for high-volume outdoor service

  • Mechanical exhaust systems and custom stainless-steel hoods engineered and fabricated for each level

D & C Catering managed end-to-end delivery — from early design and documentation through to fabrication, equipment supply, and installation — ensuring a seamless, compliant outcome across all food and beverage zones.

Key equipment and materials were supplied by Stoddart, Halton, Skope, Scots Ice, and Niccolai, with all stainless-steel work built to the highest commercial standard.

The venue also features a bespoke Italian wood-fire/gas pizza oven, custom-made and imported directly from Italy to support the restaurant’s feature menu.

This landmark project was recognised with a feature article in The Australian Construction Review, highlighting D & C Catering’s precision, craftsmanship, and leadership in complex hospitality builds.

The team designed and delivered a commercial kitchen for the high-end French restaurant Charlotte Bar & Bistro, located within a heritage building. Working closely with builders Aetos K, the project was delivered to a high standard of quality.

The Vintage
Hunter Valley, NSW

The Vintage hotel is a new build project located in the Hunter Valley, NSW. We were appointed for the complete CAD design of two large commercial kitchens and two large bar areas. D&C Catering supplied and installed equipment for the areas including a commercial woodfire oven and new ventilation.

Zeus Street Greek
Rozelle, NSW

D&C Catering designed and installed the entire commercial kitchen for Zeus Street Greek’s new venue located in Rozelle.

Newgreens Chatswood | Golf Course and Clubhouse - 130 Beaconsfield Rd, Chatswood

Tasked with the full design, supply, and installation of hospitality infrastructure across three levels, D&C Catering brought its signature blend of quality, innovation, and efficiency to the project, tailored specifically to meet the needs of residents and members.

Narrabeen, NSW

D&C Catering undertook a complete re-design and refurbishment of Mexicano’s restaurant located in Narrabeen. This included CAD design plans for the kitchen layout with a new stainless bar and ventilation for the commercial kitchen.

Our team are currently on-site delivering an upgrade to the clubs bar area within the gentleman’s lounge. The project is located at 165 Macquarie St, Sydney.

The Lakes Golf Club
Eastlakes, NSW

The team had the pleasure of working with one of Australia’s prestigeous private golf courses, The Lakes Golf Club. In late 2023, we designed and delivered a commercial kitchen upgrade.

At the end of 2023, D&C Catering handed over two newly refurbished large bar areas within the club. The team and client were very pleased with the outcome.

Bao Bros is a newly built venue in Terrigal, NSW. For this project we were engaged to create complete CAD design plans for a new kitchen layout. We installed new ventilation and supplied all the commercial hospitality equipment.
